Inside Metro Toronto

Here are the Toronto beaches from west to east:
    Marie Curtis Park's Beach in Etobicoke
  1. Marie Curtis Park East Beach (Etobicoke)
    This beach is located at the foot of 42nd St, south of Lakeshore Blvd W, and on the east bank of he Etobicoke River. Nearest stop is the Long Branch Loop serviced by TTC routes 110A, B (regular hours) and 501 (24 hour service). A 5-10 minute walk to/from the beach.

  2. Sir Casimir Gzowski Park Beach
    This beach is to the east of the Humber River, south of High Park, and protected by a breakwater (ergo, a boring beach)

  3. Sunnyside Beach
    Off Lakeshore Blvd south of Parkside Dr (across the Gardiner Expressway from High Park). This beach is adjacent to the Sunnyside Pavillion and the Gus Ryder outdoor pool. Take TTC routes 501, 508, 80 on Queensway, and a 5 minute walk to/from the beach

  4. Hanlan's Point Beach (Toronto Island)
    Take the "Hanlan's Point" Island Ferry ($) from the Ferry Terminal at the foot of Bay Street. 5 minute walk from the Terminal to this "Clothing Optional" beach, not far from the Island Airport. To take TTC to the Ferry Terminal, take TTC routes 509 and 510 stop underground at the intersection of Bay and Queen's Quay).

  5. Gibraltar Point Beach (Toronto Island))
    Take the "Hanlan's Point" Island Ferry ($) from the Ferry Terminal at the foot of Bay Street. 5 minute walk from the Terminal to this family beach (between Hanlan's oint and Centre Island beaches) which is liefguarded daily from 11:30 to 18:30. To take TTC to the Ferry Terminal, take TTC routes 509 and 510 stop underground at the intersection of Bay and Queen's Quay).

  6. Centre Island Beach (Toronto Island)
    Take the "Centre Island" Island Ferry ($) from the Ferry Terminal at the foot of Bay Street. 5 minute walk from the Terminal to this family beach which is liefguarded daily from 11:30 to 18:30. To take TTC to the Ferry Terminal, take TTC routes 509 and 510 stop underground at the intersection of Bay and Queen's Quay).

  7. Ward's Island Beach (Toronto Island)
    Take the "Ward's Island" Island Ferry ($) from the Ferry Terminal at the foot of Bay Street. 5 minute walk from the Terminal to this beach with views to a sometimes busy shipping channel. To take TTC to the Ferry Terminal, take TTC routes 509 and 510 stop underground at the intersection of Bay and Queen's Quay).

  8. Cherry/Clarke Beach
    This beach is at the foot of Cherry St, at the south end of the Harbourlands industrial area, and has views wet to a sometimes busy shipping channel and south to Tommy Thompson Park. To get here, take TTC route 72A, closest stop is at Cherry St & Commissioners St, with a 5-10 minute walk to the beach.

    Woodbine Beaches
  9. Woodbine Beaches
    These beaches are located at the foot of Woodbine Ave (south of Queens St E), in Beaches Park. The beach is locatedon the east side of Ashbridge's Bay Park, which has a boardwalk, a number of sailing clubs, and the Home Depot Theatre. To get here by TTC, take routes 92A, 22, 501, 31B, with a 2 minute walk. Those driving should note that many of the streets adjoining the Beaches Park have one-way traffic.

  10. Kew Balmy Beaches
    These beaches extend for a few kilometers, soouth of Queen St E, between Ashbridges Bay and the art deco RC Harris filtration plant. The beaches are connected by the popular Boardwalk and are close to The Beaches shopping area & restaurants on Wueen Street. The beach is accessible by TTC routes 92A, 22, 501, 31B, with a 2 minute walk to/from the water.

  11. Bluffer's Beach Park (Scarborough)
    This beach is at the east end of Bluffer's Park, at the foot of Brimley Rd off Kingston Rd, and has a number of marinas located nearby, and views of the Scarborough Bluffs. To get to this beach, take TTC Route 12, with a 30 minute walk down to the beach (the walk back is uphill!).

  12. Rouge Beach (Scarborough))
    This beach is at the foot of Port Union Rd, east of Lawrence Ave E, and lies on the west side of the Rouge River. To get her by TTC,take routes 54A or E, with a 3-5 minute walk.
