At the site of the former Bata shoe-company headquarters will be a spiritual centre, museum of Islamic art and public park, reflecting the city's various Shia sects including the Bohras, Ishnashris and Ismailis.

Set along the park's walking trails, the Scarborough Historical Museum traces the story of this community's rural roots and two centuries of immigration.See early settler life in the McCowan Log House and early 20th century innovations in the Cornell House.The Hough Carriage Works displys wagon-making tools and shows the vital role of local trades in growing the community. Special events: Victorian Cream Tea Sunday (May), Harvest Festival (September), Canada Day, Doors Open Toronto, and Christmas Social (December).
Open January to mid-March in-school programs; mid-March - mid-May (Mon-Fri) 10 am-4 pm; Victoria Day to Labour Day Wed-Sun Noon - 4 pm; September to mid December Monday-Friday 10 am-4 pm Closed Holiday Mondays, New Year's Day, Good Friday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and Remembrance Day. Regular Admission (plus GST): Adults $2.83, Seniors (60 +) $1.42, Youths (13-18 yrs.) $1.42, Children $0.94 and Summer Weekends-Pay what you can.
